1. The Adventure Charter Agreement

By registering, applying to our queue list, or participating in a Ride & Fire premium expedition, you acknowledge that you are entering into a binding contract with Ride & Fire. These terms specify rules for extreme high-altitude adventure motorcycle touring in Ladakh, Spiti, Zanskar, and Southeast Asia.

2. Altitude Sickness (AMS) & Medical Responsibility

Our expeditions navigate extreme high-altitude territories, often exceeding 15,000 feet (4,500 meters) above sea level (e.g. Khardung La at 17,982 ft). You acknowledge that:

  • Acclimatization demands absolute adherence to our first-48-hour protocol.
  • Riders are fully responsible for disclosing pre-existing respiratory, cardiac, or general physiological conditions.
  • We require you to submit a physical self-reported medical check-list certified by a licensed physician prior to departure.

3. Mandatory Evacuation & Travel Insurance

Traditional travel insurance plans do not cover extreme mountain adventure touring or helicopter search and rescue. All participants must secure specialized extreme sports and high-altitude travel insurance that explicitly includes:

  • Emergency medical evacuation and repatriation.
  • Helicopter evacuation and wilderness medical expenses.
  • Coverage up to 18,500 feet altitude.

4. Booking, Queue Allocations, & Cancellations

Due to the extremely limited availability of specialized permits (Inner Line Permits for protected borders) and high-end boutique properties, our group size is capped at 12 riders. Seat registrations obey the following rules:

  • A non-refundable commitment deposit is required to lock your specific calendar allocation.
  • Permit acquisition begins immediately upon booking; hence, names on permits cannot be transferred or refunded once registered with local district magistrates.
  • Cancellations made less than 60 days before launch forfeit 100% of the expedition seat cost.

5. Vehicle Security & Fleet Damage Liability

Our fleet represents the absolute standard in high-altitude performance, utilizing custom-tuned dual-sport machines. Every rider must possess an active Motorcycle License and an International Driving Permit (IDP). Any physical damage caused to vehicles by reckless riding or deliberate violation of our ride captain's protocols will be assessed at real parts replacement costs, charged to the participant's liability account.
